Artist statement: This image traces a journey through place and space, both physical and emotional, over the period of a day. It was made from a number of carved and etched lino blocks. Images were painted directly onto lino with liquid wax and etched multiple times creating distressed and crazed textures. Some blocks were carved. Blocks were placed randomly on the press bed and overprinted many times using relief printing methods. Through the process of making, a unique state print was developed. The triptych format follows the sequence in which these images were made.
